MLCS Woodworking Router Table Top and Fence with Phenolic Plate
Router Table Top: 24" x 32", heavy 1-3/8" thick tabletop (1/4" thicker than most other tables) has a sturdy MDF core, durable melamine surface and polyethylene plastic edges. A 12" x 9" phenolic router insert is also premounted. Removable rings allow 3 different size openings (1-3/16", 2-5/8", and 4") for a great fit with most router bits. Table comes pre-installed with an aluminum miter slot to ensure accuracy and aluminum T-Track slots to mount your router fence. A guide pin is included and allows for freehand routing. Hex head adjusting screws provide a perfectly level insert to top while small magnets hold the insert in place. Threaded inserts are also provided on the bottom of the table top to mount to a leg set or cabinet. Router Fence: A 36" long anodized aluminum angle keeps the fence at 90 deg. for accuracy (machined to within .010"). High split fence constructed with an MDF core and a melamine surface, allows edge routing for safer vertical routing operations. T-slot allows the attachment of featherboards or jigs to the fence. Durable plastic safety guard helps protect eyes and face against flying woodchips. Fence faces are mounted on a T-slot, allowing for independent adjustment and varied openings around the router bit. Measuring tape on top of fence reads both right to left and left to right, allowing easy and convenient measurement.

Quality item for priceJan 09, 2007

Very heavy table when put together which was very easy. It has a 1 1/2" laminated top and bottom with vinyl edges. The dust hood works fairly well, probably third of dust doesn't make it in vacuum. The table comes set up for stand attachment with thread inserts located on bottom for mlcs stand or homemade, which is what I did. The solid cast aluminum fence seems to be very straight, certainly within my tolerances. The fence with t tracks allows for all manner of attachments, bought or homemade. It is just a great basic router table, plus mlcs ships free!

Save your moneyDec 05, 2010

Save your money and buy something better. The table is flat. The insert has too much camber plus you have to drill it as others have mentioned (not a big deal). The big problem is that the fence was about 1/8 to 1/16" out of square over its hieght. I called mlcs they told me to shim it with tape. I told them the ad says this thing is made with a tolorance of 0.01". They said thats a typo should be 0.01" PER INCH. I told them that 1/16" is still twice that lame tolorance and they said they would not send a replacement.

5 stars for MLCS customer service!Aug 17, 2008

The MLCS router table top and fence is a good value. Mine was delivered with a slightly bent aluminum L bracket for the fence assembly. I contacted MLCS and within a week I had a new and dead straight L bracket, no charge, no hassle! I've used the router table with a Bosch 1617 router to build a cabinet for the router table top.

just fairSep 06, 2010

Agree with the review about assembly. Even though it only took 30 minutes to figure it out, it could have been done in 10-15 minutes with a simple assembly sheet. Quality is just so-so. i teach woodshop at a high school, and this was the first time I bought a piece of equipment that is not industrial grade. I purchased this with their 200 dollar cabinet and can't say it is junk, but it simply isn't as good a quality as my small home use bosch table is. It is bigger, which makes it easier for my students to work with, but if it's a home shop tool you're looking for, I would recommend the bosch or similar table.

gets the job doneJul 03, 2008

MLCS does a pretty good job with this table. A nice square fence and beefy enough for stability. I also really like the magnets in the inserts. Two things I wish were different....They should have included adhesive measuring tape for the sides of the table for more accuracy when adjusting the fence. Also that the inserts could have had some sort of standard pre-drills in the insert for the router. I had to drill and counter sink all the holes myself.
